Support the Diversification of
low trophic aquaculture
Advance the cultivation of algae, shellfish, and other low-trophic aquatic species to enhance the environmental sustainability, resource efficiency, and resilience of European aquaculture
Innovate circular feeds, foods and systems
Develop regionally resource-efficient feed and production systems that promote resource recovery, nutrient recycling, and waste minimisation across aquaponics, integrated multi-trophic aquaculture, and organic aquaculture, and generate bioactive-rich fractions for application in aquafeeds and human food.
Boost health, welfare and One Health
Improve fish health, welfare and environmental performance using a One Health approach that connects people, animals and ecosystems
Engage consumers and policymakers
Increase awareness, market uptake and policy support for diverse aquatic foods through social science, communication and stakeholder engagement
